Why Rahul Upholds Manmohan, Sonia As His Political Leaders?

Earlier on Thursday, Rahul Gandhi said that he considers both his mother Sonia Gandhi and the Indian PM Manmohan Singh as his two political leaders. What he meant was not clear to the public, however some of them expressed their doubts whether he had a plan to acquire the seat of his ‘POLITICAL LEADER’ if the Congress wins the upcoming elections next year.

Rahul Gandhi’s idea might be clear that he never wishes to show disrespect to the PM and Congress chief. I feel that by stating that he considers them as his true political leaders, he means that he will take charge as the prime minister of India only if they tell him. (However his chance of becoming PM may depend upon the future elections.)

There is no doubt that Rahul Gandhi is one of the most popular Congress leaders in India and he would be the best PM Candidate from the Congress party other than Manmohan. However, I feel that he needs to prove that he is the right PM candidate and only that could help Congress in the upcoming elections.

Moreover the future of Congress depends on the popularity of this leader who is rising as a national hero. Hope his ideas and ideals, his popularity and presence will certainly have an impact on the Congress party. Rahul Gandhi is yet to be proclaimed as the prime minister candidate of the party, but many of the top Congress leaders have hinted it too. Who knows what India will gain from this leader?

Though Congress is in power for the past nine years and is expected to complete a decade by next year, the party’s fate may alter with the BJP nominating Narendra Modi as their PM candidate. Neither Rahul nor Congress will come to rule if the party comes up with some better ideas to outperform the popularity of Modi.
